Un père montre à son fils, Max, un souvenir de hockey qu'il a conservé exprès pour lui : la carte de Mario Lemieux, lorsqu'il n'était qu'un débutant. Tyler is also on the worst team in his league and is very frustrated at losing so often. He follows his hero through the 1990--91 season and is inspired by watching Mario Lemieux's magnificent performance during the playoffs, especially his fantastic goal against the Minnesota North Stars in the finals. Mario becomes the ultimate winner as the Pittsburgh Penguins win the Stanley Cup while Tyler learns that things can change if you strive to do your best like Mario did for his team. Even when you are in the worst situation possible you can eventually make it the best!
